LAC Federal is seeking a Project Supervisor to provide planning, oversight, and support for a records management program in the Washington, D.C. area. The Supervisor will oversee a team of six conducting an extensive records review for a major federal agency sub-component. The Supervisor will be responsible for developing and planning a schedule, ensuring that staff work product conform to all NARA and agency requirements, and supervising staff across four separate physical locations in Washington, D.C.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, direct and supervise the work of records managers and records information specialists
- Review staff work for accuracy and completness
- Meet with agency personnel to discuss records and file plans
Requirements
- Master’s degree in either archival or records management field or in a related specialty
- NARA Certification strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years providing supervision of records management projects
- Expert knowledge of federal records management practices and guidelines for file plans and schedules
- Ability to plan, direct, and monitor the work of others
- Knowledge and experience with document and records management systems
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to respect confidentiality
- Ability to perform routine work independently
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a multicultural environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be a US citizen and able to pass a background check
