Job Description:

The Project Manager is the subject matter expert (SME) for all project management conducted at Yazoo and is responsible for the execution of projects through their entire life cycle.  Responsibilities include project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/controlling and closing in an efficient and timely manner and well documented.  Further, the project manager's responsibilities include following up with vendors and internal customers regarding project progres or delays, scheduling meetings, and maintaining documents and reports.  Finally, the project manager is responsible for promoting positive change through continuous improvement, and driving Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives.  

Essential Functions: 

  1. Use an employee centric approach focused on the needs of production and support staff.
  2. Make data driven decisions to improve processes, enhance quality, and productivity.
  3. Project management SME and focal point for how project management is conducted at Yazoo.
  4. Execute projects: Manage progress to meet project deadlines and goals.
  5. Communicate with stakeholders regarding project needs, goals and progress.
  6. Perform research as required to understand all facets of the project and to develop new ideas.
  7. Perform administrative tasks such as keeping calendars, making phone calls, sending emails, scheduling meetings, creating documents, spreadsheets, drawings and electronic project tools such as charters, work breakdwon structures, Gantt charts, etc. to achieve best outcomes and meet company goals.
  8. Complete any tasks assigned by supervision in an efficient and timely manner.

Project Involvement includes:

  • Manufacturing process improvements
  • New equipment & production line installs
  • Equipment modifications & improvements
  • Moving equipment
  • Facility improvements, alterations & new construction

  • Be able and willing to travel between plants and project sites.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Project coordination experience or college degree required.
  • Degree in project management, engineering or related field preferred.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred. 

 

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 7am - 4 pm and is ON SITE.  

The position will be located in our Hanover facility, but will travel and work out of both locations.

Salary is based upon experience.
