Job Description:

Operation of spiral winder and cut-off saws and other miscellaneous equipment to fill customer orders.

Essential Functions:
1. Read and understand spec sheet and production orders to set-up machines correctly to produce a quality product.

2. Measuring, calipering, and checking the overall quality of the tolerances per spec sheet.

3. Understanding all machine operations to cut the product to spec sheet/customer specifications.

4. Operate the machine effectively and efficiently to minimize waste.

5. Analyze packaging and make adjustments when needed.

6. Identifying quality deficiencies and ability to identify and perform corrective action.

7. Ability to communicate finished product on production order.

8. Comply with safety regulations/procedures and maintain clean and orderly work area.

9. Must be willing to accept and receive supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up and other essential tasks as assigned.

10. Ability to lift 100 lbs., bend, stoop and twist throughout the word day.

11. Thread winders to produce a quality core utilizing various layers of paper.

12. Perform Snake Lace technic continuously to secure tubes for transport.

13. Tie bundles, pack boxes, stan on end etc.

Shifts Available: 3rd Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00pm - 6:00am, overtime as needed.
• Rate of pay starts at $25.00 per hour, with potential to earn up to $28.85 per hour.
• Job is located in New Oxford, PA.

Required Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required. Prior machine operating experience is required, though machine specific training will be conducted once enrolled in our formal training program.  

Employment is full-time through a local staffing agency. Once applicant has completed the required contract hours with the staffing agency and met performance standards, regular employment will begin with Yazoo Mills. Hours worked under the staffing arrangement are credited toward service time and benefits eligibility.
