Project Manager (SO2)

Full-Time
They will be responsible for developing project plans and timelines, coordinating efforts across participating teams, and ensuring that stakeholders have visibility into project status. They will also be responsible for defining, maintaining, and analysing KPI metrics for the Professional Services Team. 
 
This role will also manage and drive internal projects that function to server the foundation of PelicanCorp’s solution offerings. This include infrastructure upgrades, software upgrades and environment changes (builds, decommission, restructure) 
 
The focus will be on the North American region, with a number of projects underway. There will also be the need to run projects for the APAC and European regions as well. 
 
Responsibilities 
  • Ensure customers onboarding and deployment is handled right from the 'sales' stage; identify milestones, stakeholders, and implications for other work.
  • Review internal processes and make recommendations to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Drive projects to completion, including finding solutions for roadblocks, coordinating deliverables, and holding team members accountable to their commitments
  • Communicate project status, seek input, and build open communication across teams
  • Give project stakeholders clear insight on project status, timelines, and potential obstacles
  • Maintain Gantt charts that roll up into larger project and program charts
  • Maintain project documentation, issue management, change requests and change management
  • Proactively communicate with peers and stakeholders on plans, progress, and problems
  • Lead retros after projects are completed to identify areas for improvement for project managers, stakeholders, and project teams
  • Define, maintain, and analyse the people KPIs; surface trends and opportunities
  • Define, collect, and analyse project metrics; derive insights from metrics to improve future project processes
  • Attend and partake in forums, user groups, seminars, conferences, etc
 
Required Experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
  •  5-8 years of project management and related experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
 
Desired Experience 
  • 2 years of experience with AWS
  • 2 years of experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience in Agile development methodology
  • Knowledge of IT service processes (ITIL) and best practices
  • Exposure to development languages (C#, HTML, JavaScript, PowerShell)
 
Project Execution 
  • Implement project plans to build deliverables
  • Monitor and control project deliverables
  • Manage timelines
  • Manage costs
  • Identify and manage risks
  • Assure and control quality
  • Suggest and implement modifications to project scope, deliverables, timelines and resources
  • Track and monitor procurement
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders
  • Support and direct project team
