Project Manager, Program Analysis

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 100 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What You’ll Do:

As the Project Manager for Program Analysis, you will lead the effort to collect diverse program planning and execution data and then transform it into actionable information.  The resulting reports and visualizations will  be used to  drive critical resource and priority decisions throughout the company.  This position will report to the Program Manager for Aircraft, and will have the opportunity to work closely with a large cross section of Archer including: Engineering, Integrated Test, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality and Flight Test.      

  • Manage and Maintain Integrated Master Schedule for the Midnight Program
  • Serve as a primary Subject Matter Expert for planning and scheduling processes, procedures, tools and systems. 
  • Gather program data from tools such as MS Project, Jira and Teamcenter
  • Work with end users to create dashboards, visualizations and reports clearly identifying progress and help needed
  • Assist with streamlining Program Management processes and meetings
  • Compare actual performance against planned performance to identify variances, and help manage tasks on the Critical Path.
  • Participate in periodic forecasting related to schedule performance risks, likelihood of success, maintaining program schedule reserve, etc.
  • Participate and contribute to decision making leading up to Program Management Reviews. 
  • Work collaboratively with other Archer teams to clear roadblocks to design, supplier management, manufacturing and testing of the Aircraft
  • Lead cross-functional projects such as trade studies and sub-system design reviews  

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science,  Mathematics, or in a related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 4 years related New Product Introduction (NPI) experience in aerospace or similar industry.
  • Advanced User for Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Online 
  • Experience with  Jira (or similar tools)
  • Proven expertise in program planning and scheduling including knowledge of developing and maintaining schedule networks.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards and visualizations with Jira, Confluence, Power BI or similar tools
  • Analytical capabilities to identify schedule critical paths and optimize engineering / supply chain timelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Technical Program/Project Management or Project Engineering experience.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering product development including design phases, manufacturing processes and global supply chain management.
  • Experience with aircraft civil certification programs.

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $150,000 and $165,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
