Project Manager, Production Operations

At MNTN, we’ve built a culture based on quality, trust, ambition, and accountability – but most importantly, we really enjoy working here. We pride ourselves on our self-service platform and are constantly seeking to improve the user experience for our customers and scale for efficiency. Our startup spirit powers our growth mindset and supports our teammates as they build the future of ConnectedTV. We’re looking for people who naturally want to do more, own more, and make an impact in their careers – and we’re seeking someone to be part of our next stage of growth.

MNTN has experienced phenomenal growth over the past few years. Our startup-based engineering environment yields a fast-paced time to market and demands a fast-paced production operations team. Our technology footprint boasts thousands of production services, enormous databases housing petabytes of data, and a complex pipeline that poses challenges when analyzing the downstream impact of any single individual production deployment. You’ll join a world-class engineering team and be a crucial part of our exciting journey, ensuring our software and product value propositions operate smoothly and successfully throughout their production lifecycle.

We’re looking for a Project Manager to join the Engineering PMO to support our Production Operations team. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting multiple teams and managing projects, focused on three key areas: technical support for our customer-facing teams, ad performance operations, and software development of internal tooling and monitoring solutions. Your ability to communicate effectively, juggle multiple projects at once, and work with a variety of personalities in a fast-paced environment, is key.

You will:

  • Own, track and manage your teams' project scopes and timelines to ensure forecasted deliverability
  • Document project plans for cross-team initiatives and drive on-schedule delivery of results
  • Identify, track and remove blockers and dependencies
  • Document the product/feature knowledge for consumption by other teams
  • Facilitate agile events, including, but not limited to: stand ups, parking lots, backlog prioritization, backlog refinements, sprint reviews, sprint plannings and/or retrospectives for your team
  • Engage with Technical Leads, Product Designers, Engineers and Testers to ensure tickets are properly detailed, prioritized and estimated
  • Track, analyze and storytell metrics, at the team-level, to help deliver consistent velocity value and forecast project estimation
  • Support and maintain our Incident Management Program through operational procedures, ticket management, ensuring SLA’s and resolutions are met and tracking/reporting on metrics.

You have:

  • At least 3+ years of project management experience, preferably with a background in Mar-tech, Ad-tech, or a client-facing SaaS platform
  • Experience owning, tracking and delivering projects end-to-end, often driving multiple complex projects at the same time
  • A strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban and other agile development frameworks
  • Experience supporting Incident Management processes and procedures, including triaging, routing and driving escalations to ensure SLAs and resolutions are met
  • The ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with a large number of teams on a daily basis
  • Self-sufficiency. You can execute with minimal oversight, but are not afraid to ask questions
  • Technical savviness. While a technical background is not expected, you should be comfortable with technical topics and able to discuss them with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent communication. You can inform, educate, influence and persuade at various levels of the organization, both in written and verbal form
  • Attention to detail. The ability to obsess over every single part of a process, at scale
  • Strong articulation/presentation skills are required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence, ServiceDesk) is required
  • Certified Scrum Master and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus
