Project Manager - Pioneer Program (R&D COO Office)

We are looking for a Project Manager to join the Pioneer Team within the COO Office in IFS R&D. Working from the IFS Colombo, the successful candidate will work to support Pioneer customers based in Europe and America and therefore will be required to work flexibly to cover critical customer activities and meetings.

The  focus of the COO Office is to enable the R&D organization to create, maintain , and rollout high-quality world class products in an efficient manner by ensuring planning and execution of our product releases, aligned ways of working across teams, management of strategic programs and projects and communication according to the Rhythm of the Business.   The Pioneer Team, within the COO Office, is responsible for the IFS Pioneer Program which is a strategic IFS initiative to ensure an accelerated go live on IFS Cloud for a selected group of customers ahead of the release to the wider market.  As a Project Manager within Pioneer Team, you will work hand in hand with Project Teams from Customers, Consulting, or Partner as well as R&D and Unified Support to secure early referenceable Customers for selected releases and capabilities.  

In addition, you will also work closely with the PMO Team within the COO Office, driving strategic programs and projects as well as business transformation initiatives that are key to the future success of R&D. You will be responsible for effective communication and reporting, stakeholder management, change management and the facilitation of collaboration amongst teams.  

As Project Manager you will be expected to:  

• Lead the planning, facilitating, execution , and follow-up of cross-functional programs, projects , and initiatives run by the COO Office or other parts of R&D with a primary focus on the IFS Pioneer program. 
• Manage your programs and projects within scope, budget, and quality expectations. 
• Act on feedback to ensure continuous improvement.  
• Manage risk, facilitate change, and oversee stakeholder management. 
• Create documentation, presentations, and surveys.  
• Proactively report progress to the identified steering committees and communicate results to the wider team. 
• Continuously develop and enhance your knowledge of our technologies, target industries and customers.  

To be a successful Project Manager at IFS, having a positive attitude and a “can-do” mindset is key. We expect you to “think outside the box” and be a front runner when it comes to challenging the status quo in the strive for improvements. You are open-minded, self-driven, take initiative, and a quick learner.  

We are looking for people who:  

• Have a minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management.
• Have experience managing end-to-end ERP implementation projects (preferably several full project lifecycles).
• Are confident and experienced in making decisions and ensuring execution. 
• Have a proven ability to prioritize, negotiate, and resolve conflicts across multiple initiatives. 
• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
• Are not afraid to get their hands dirty. 
• Have solid experience working in a matrix organization.
• Are confident in managing cross-functional teams who do not report to you. 
• Have experience from a global organization working across various cultures and time zones.
• Are excellent at managing change and stakeholders at all levels.

Professional qualifications in Project Management would be a definite advantage.
