Primary Function of Position:

Project Manager –The main responsibility of this role is to oversee the seamless transition of manufacturing and office sites through activation and decommissioning phases. Key functions include serving as a liaison between project teams, stakeholders, and internal departments, ensuring operational continuity, adherence to regulatory standards, and effective problem-solving during project lifecycles. The successful execution of these responsibilities contributes significantly to the overall success of Intuitive Surgical's site activation and decommissioning initiatives.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Serve as a pivotal liaison between project teams, stakeholders, and internal departments.
  • Oversee the activation and decommissioning phases of manufacturing and office sites.
  • Ensure operational continuity and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Address challenges and obstacles during project lifecycles effectively.
  • Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
  • Create dashboards and reports for executive reviews, providing comprehensive insights into project status and outcomes.

 

Preferred Skills, Experience, Education and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, particularly in manufacturing and/or construction settings.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with facility activation and decommissioning projects.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory agencies and compliance standards in the medical device industry.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements, environmental guidelines, Building Certificates, related to manufacturing and construction projects.
  • Experience in validating a manufacturing site and qualifying a building.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools or applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Smartsheet, project management software, and other relevant applications.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
