We are seeking a Project Manager for a contract with option-to-hire role in downtown Denver, CO. Currently this role is a remote/telecommuting role, but once safe to do so, this role will be onsite. 

 In this role, you will manage projects across a variety of departments to include IT, Finance, HR,  Sales and Marketing, and Operations.  You will work with Smartsheet to create and maintain dashboards for managing data, work with vendors, and take on process operationalization. 

Additional responsibilities of this role are as follows: 

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors as needed for the execution/coordination of projects (e.g., tracking and following-up with owners of action items)
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Manage blockers and decisions on which project success is dependent
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Gathers and reports status and escalates to key stakeholders as needed
  • Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create, maintain, and publish comprehensive project documentation (including documentation created by others), including taking meeting minutes (documenting discussion, decisions, and action items), and tracking dashboards
  • Assist in updating project data for PMO reporting
  • Consult with project sponsors in preparing and submitting project charters
  • Help build our company’s maturity as a project-capable organization
  • Update PMO artifacts, best practices, key learnings

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or comparable field
  • Strong working knowledge of SmartSheets and the use of KanBan cards
  • Proven success over 2 years or more managing / coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
  • 2 + years of consulting experience with various business clients in a PM function with focus on client satisfaction
  • Experience with creating and maintaining dashboards
  • Self-starter, eager to learn, takes initiative, quick to respond to inquiries with full answers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in group facilitation, creating and maintaining dashboards for tracking data
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma is a plus
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office concepts

 

This contract with option to hire will be a telecommuting role to start and once safe to do so, will work onsite Monday- Friday during normal business hours.
