The Team

Join our successful PMO team, part of the Global Service & Operations Team at GBG Technology and Operations. As a pivotal force within our organisation, the PMO team plays a vital role in ensuring project success. We provide project management expertise that guarantees projects achieve their objectives seamlessly, adhering to strict timelines, and delivering quality within budget constraints.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Performance, Programmes, and Quality, this role is vital for ensuring we meet and accurately report on our project delivery commitments. It will serve as the central point for managing and coordinating Service & Operations Strategy projects, while also offering support to senior project managers on larger projects. This position presents an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to advance their careers in project management at GBG.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate and oversee project activities, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to achieve project objectives efficiently.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues to keep the project on track.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Foster a positive team environment, promoting collaboration, motivation, and accountability.
  • Lead project meetings, workshops, and other related activities to drive project success.
  • Continuously evaluate project processes and implement improvements as needed to optimise project outcomes.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Communication: Strong written and oral skills, conveying messages clearly and respectfully.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Able to lead meetings independently and offer support as needed.
  • Proficiency in Project Management Tools: Expertise in Microsoft tools like MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Project Management Qualification: Certified in Prince2 or equivalent, showing solid project management skills.
  • Experience: Previous success as a project manager, leading projects effectively.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledgeable in strategic planning, risk, change, and budget management.
  • Conflict Resolution: Proven ability to resolve conflicts efficiently.
  • Leadership: Inspires and motivates team members toward project success.
  • Problem-Solving: Identifies issues and finds innovative solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in project details and deliverables.
  • Adaptability: Adjusts to changing project needs and environments.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manages relationships with stakeholders effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Committed to ongoing learning and enhancing project management practices.
