s a Project Engineer for the Snke Viewing team at Snke, you will be part of a growing interdisciplinary team that creates a patient-privacy-centered ecosystem for data-driven healthcare and rethinks all aspects from data capture and visualization to analysis. You will play a vital role in the development and implementation of software solutions for medical image viewing, including the innovative server-based rendering. In addition to contributing to the complete development cycle of medical devices, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge visualization technologies that allow surgeons to interact with medical data in new and exciting ways. You will provide solutions offered for various clinical contexts and on different platforms such as desktops, mobile devices and Mixed Reality devices. 

You will be responsible for ensuring that the software solutions meet the highest standards of visual quality, usability, and performance. This will require a deep understanding of visualization techniques and technologies, medical communication protocols, such as FHIR, as well as a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest advances in the field. 

You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with healthcare professionals to better understand their needs and to develop new solutions that address their most pressing challenges. 

Overall, as a Project Engineer for the Snke Viewing team, you will play a critical role in developing the future of medical visualization, helping to create innovative solutions that enable surgeons to provide the best possible care to their patients. 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Coordination of medical software development in a larger team with project manager and software developers 
  • Communication with development partners, manufacturers and other internal teams (Quality Management, Usability & Design, Verification Teams) 
  • Full responsibility within a defined project 
  • Identification, establishment and drive of cooperation with international external partners on system, component and service level 
  • Performance and/or coordination of functional tests of medical devices 
  • Creation of complete technical documentation according to international and company standards 
  • Maintenance activities for existing medical products 
  • Education in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent working experience 
  • Experience with software deployed in a cloud environment is a plus 
  • Experience with medical communication protocols such as FHIR, HL7 and DICOM is a plus 
  • Good communication and coordination skills 
  • Fluent written and spoken English; German is a strong plus 
  • Well-organized and clearly structured working style
