For our production site in Alphen aan den Rijn, we are currently recruiting a Project & Process Engineer to join our Engineering & Maintenance Department. The Project & Process Engineer will report to the Technical & Facility Manager together with two other Project Engineers and the Maintenance Coordinator. The Project & Process Engineer will be responsible for executing projects for the site and will also be tasked with execution of strategic CAPEX projects and process improvements. The Project & Process engineer will work with cross functional teams leveraging their knowledge to ensure success.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
Accountable for developing and managing planning, prioritisation and communication of allocated projects
Ensures effective and efficient regular formal and informal communications with the various project teams and management
Develops technical solutions to complex problems across a diverse scope where analysis of a situation or data is required to identify the route cause
Executing project plans and ensuring adherence to plans and budgets
Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract
Ensure best practice project management practices are utilized
Support day to day operations in the production environment and work with other staff to identify, select, prioritize and execute process improvement projects.
Provide general troubleshooting, engineering, maintenance, equipment and daily process assistance to our manufacturing line.
Continually improve & optimize current products through variation reduction.
Investigating manufacturing problems and consulting with production teams, analyzing the supporting data, recommending corrective actions, and following through on recommendations to evaluate their effectiveness.
Use lean six sigma to eliminate waste, improve material flow, and streamline processes.
Assisting and improving the controls, equipment, and maintenance practices used to run the operations.
Lead capital projects related to equipment installations, modifications, or upgrades.
Minimum a Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, process or biomedical).
Project Management certification is a plus
Green Belt / structured problem solving is a plus
Preferrably 3 years proven experience working in a project and/or process role in a manufacturing environment, including process Improvements and Validations
Project management and prioritisation
Expertise for manufacturing technologies, process automation and innovation
Hands on ability to analyse and solve complex problems
Knowledge of lean tools
Experience managing suppliers for equipment development and manufacture
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in cross-functional team environments
