Title: Project Document Controller / Writer
Location: Hybrid (Washington, DC)
Duration: 1+ years Contract
Rate: $Open
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required OR equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated instructional writing skills and experience to provide clear and concise direction on technically complex equipment
- Proficiency in communicating technical information to various stakeholders and related technical staff
- Edit and proofread their own work and the work of other specialists to ensure the documents they create are free of grammatical mistakes and technical inaccuracies.
- Self-starter with project management skills, constructive critical thinking skills, organizational skills, and ability to work independently
- Proficient PC skills, with expert command of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent written/oral communication skills
- Flexibility to work extended hours if required
Requirements
- 6-9 years of experience
- Knowledge in technical fields such as physical security, engineering, computer science, or information systems.
- Demonstrated experience/working knowledge of various data management business systems including Procurement, Work Management, Business Operations, and Training
- Some experience in railroad related or similar transportation or industrial activity with well-developed understanding of technical concepts, terms, and various fleet and equipment nomenclature. Interpersonal Skills
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills
