The Project Cost Engineer will be responsible for analyzing quotes, SOWs, and submitted data to identify cost opportunities for “Electronic / Electrical” components and systems using activity-based costing methodologies, while supporting and optimizing North American processes, systems, and operations. The selected candidate provides subject matter expertise to support engineering and purchasing at working levels and to executive leadership through all development phases. The Engineer must be curious, persistent, and thorough. The Cost Engineer must have the ability to analyze supplier ED&D quotes, SOWs, and develop an appropriate ED&D Negotiation Guidance based on the required SOW. The selected candidate must have an understanding of the elements of ED&D quote development including employees, hours required, and testing required for various manufacturing processes typical for the production of assigned “Electronic / Electrical” commodities.
