Arcadis is growing!  Arcadis is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our  Education Architecture studio in the Houston, Texas office.  This role sits within the Global Architecture & Urbanism Division which combines the expertise of IBI’s Buildings and Placemaking practice, our Places’ capabilities, and CRTKL’s multi-sector design leadership to offer a diverse range of solutions focusing on human-centric design, sustainability, and technology.  The successful candidate would assist and support Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers in all aspects of project coordination and administration, from programming and conceptualization to construction administration and closeout for our educational practice group.   This position will require ability to work from the office and project sites and travel as needed. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining Internal Project Files
  • Assist with proposals, formatting specifications, filing communications; logging/tracking/issuing project documents (AEAs, Pay Apps, etc.)
  • Utilizing Document Templates to prepare Letters, etc.
  • Assist with AIA Contract Documents
  • Assist with meeting agendas and minutes
  • May support multiple Principals, Project Managers, or project team members
  • Entering and logging timesheets and expense reports as necessary
  • Assist Front Desk with phone support/backup/rollover calls
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in an administrative role
  • Previous experience in the A/E/C industry strongly desired
  • Expert in Microsoft 365; MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience in Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat
  • Detail oriented, ability to work unsupervised
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication (verbal/written) and strong interpersonal skills
  • A natural ability to collaborate and work with cross-functional teams such as internal team members, external consultants, clients and contractors
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
  • Very detailed, accurate proofreading skills.
