For this role we are looking for someone who lives in or near Munich. We have a completely flexible work environment; we offer home office options and flexible working hours.

At SAP Fioneer, the Operations team plays a critical role in achieving the organization’s ambitious goals and works closely with the operative business and controlling together to enable and drive growth by acting as a sparring partner, by managing the commercial parts of customer and internal projects.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Project Controlling & Operations Specialist who supports our SAP Fioneer organisation in successfully delivering customer projects in the banking and insurance industry by:

  • Manage the project life cycle as an end-to-end-process from contracting to Invoicing (including contracting, calculation, setup, staffing, project management, controlling, invoicing etc.)
  • Responsible for setup and administration of customer and internal projects including of the commercial framework like milestones, billing plan, pricing, etc.
  • Close alignment with Profit Centre Leads, Finance, Controlling and Business Operations organization.
  • Ensure and execute the process of project setup in SAP S/4 Hana, capacity planning, handling resource requests, staffing internal and external resources with a high level of efficiency, quality, compliance, and discipline.
  • Administration of contingent workforce like resource requisition, activity tracking and budgeting
  • Calculation, utilization, reporting as well as deviation control of budgets and tracking of project Profit & Loss
  • Maintain a sharp vision of the project and its environment, anticipating the course of action to proactively managing risks.
  • Hands-on mentality in regards of creating, managing, and improving processes within the area of responsibility.
  • Regular monthly closing activities (invoicing, deferred bookings, review of revenue bookings)
  • Payment management with customer (monitoring and reminders of due invoices)

Requirements

  • Successfully completed studies in business administration or comparable qualifications with a focus on Operations or Project Controlling
  • Min. 3 years of experience in the same or similar roles within Operations or Project Controlling
  • Competency in P&L forecast and budget analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills and affinity for numbers
  • Understanding of contracts, ideally gained in a professional services environment
  • Experience in SAP S4/Hana is a plus
  • Excellent English language skills, German language knowledge is an advantage
  • Strong work ethics and driven by values such as transparency, ownership, commitment, and pursuing highest standards in your day-to-day work
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills with an attention to detail and follow-through to match
  • A strong intercultural intelligence and passion for diversity, equity and inclusion
