Supporting Project Managers on site, the project administrator works collaboratively with other teams, in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. To be successful, the candidate needs to have strong communication skills, be self-motivated and detailed oriented. This role is rotational, with shifts two weeks on, two weeks off.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide general support to management team.
  • Manage coordination of documents, training, deliverables and requests for information between contractors and management team.
  • Taking meeting minutes, drafting memos/presentations and distributing as necessary.
  • Aid with the development and maintenance of project management documents.
  • Work with suppliers on quotes, project costs, delivery and forecasted spending.
  • Support Project Managers with the procurement of materials, supplies and services as necessary.
  • Assist Project Managers with their schedule, coordinate team meetings and schedules.
  • Organize and prepare for internal and external meetings; gathering materials required.
  • Utilize Excel for a variety of project tracking and documentation.
  • Administer document control processes.

Requirements

o   2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferable within the mining or construction industries

o   Relevant diploma or degree

o   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

o   Advanced computer skills

o   Knowledgeable with Microsoft Suite of programs

o   Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

o   Excellent time management skills

o   Detail oriented
