Position Overview:

Diligent Institute creates educational content and media for directors, the c-suite and senior governance, risk and compliance professionals across a range of mediums. With online certification programs, e-learning courses and short videos, our education content is a key way in which we connect with our customers. The Corporate Director Podcast and our web show, Inside Today’s Boardrooms are produced by Diligent Institute, offering additional media types for our audience to engage with our content through. 

The Programs Specialist is responsible for coordinating production of all video and audio content for Diligent Institute, including interviews and panel discussions for eLearning programs, The Corporate Director Podcast and Inside Today’s Boardrooms. They will review and execute on the production schedule for our media content, liaising with high-profile speakers, proactively tracking and identifying gaps and producing high-quality pre-briefing materials. In addition, they will support the Diligent Institute content team in coordinating education content creation such as creating video transcripts, assisting in the writing process and editing of materials and leading the content update change management process. 

Key Responsibilities  

Education content:

  • Develop and maintain a content update change management process to ensure existing eLearning courses, certifications and videos are periodically reviewed and updated
  • Support translations of educational content as required, project managing the development of content into new languages
  • Provide support in drafting, editing and reviewing content as required  
  • Keep a pulse on trends and news related to existing programs to identify new content to be added and make edits as required  

Video and audio media production: 

  • Manage and execute on the production schedule for Diligent Institute’s media shows (including podcast and web show content)
  • Coordinate with high-profile guests for media shows to schedule pre-briefings and recordings
  • Develop pre-briefing materials and interview questions
  • Work with a Video Specialist to coordinate post-production of all video and audio content
  • Develop post-production supplementary content such as transcripts, closed captions, show notes, social images and uploading final products across various platforms
  • Coordinate with Marketing counterparts to promote media and education content
  • Support Diligent Institute content team on production of videos for education content, providing project management and responsibilities listed above
  • Support the drafting of email copy and presentations to support internal enablement and marketing campaigns

Related responsibilities:

  • Keep internal teams connected with Diligent Institute projects, such as customer success, sales, marketing and product 
  • Monitor market activity to stay aware of the competitive landscape 

Required Experience/Skills  

  • 1-2 years of experience in a position or field that required project management, production copywriting, or other content creation
  • Excellent writing and research skills for educational content  
  • Ability to manage projects and tasks and work independently
  • Comfort with actively communicating progress and updates
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time with strong prioritization skills
  • Experience using office applications such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel  
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills maintaining positive working relationships with multiple departments
