As a Programme Management Officer (PMO) within the Originate to Share Programme in Banking CIB (Corporate and Investment Banking), you will be a vital component in ensuring the seamless execution and delivery of strategic initiatives. Your role will involve comprehensive support to the programme management team, overseeing project governance, monitoring progress, and facilitating effective communication across stakeholders. Your attention to detail, strategic mindset, and ability to navigate within a banking CIB environment will be instrumental in the programme's accomplishments.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme Governance:

  1. Establish and maintain robust programme governance structures, ensuring alignment with established methodologies, standards, and industry best practices.
  2. Develop and manage programme documentation, including charters, roadmaps, schedules, risk registers, and other essential artefacts.
  3. Coordinate programme initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure processes.
  4. Document minutes and actions/owners/dates for transversal forums/meetings and ensure execution of the actions on time.

Programme Tracking and Reporting:

  1. Monitor the progress of programme activities, tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues.
  2. Prepare and disseminate regular programme status reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.
  3. Ensure that the bank reporting systems are populated with accurate data and on time. Validate any reports before its circulation to a wider audience.

Stakeholder Management:

  1. Foster effective communication and collaboration among programme stakeholders, including senior management, business sponsors, project teams, and external partners.
  2. Organize and facilitate programme meetings, workshops, and steering committees, ensuring clear objectives and outcomes are achieved.
  3. Serve as a primary point of contact for programme-related inquiries, providing timely updates and addressing stakeholder concerns.
  4. Prepare documents for transversal forums, make the presentation of overall update or organise relevant presnters.

Change Management:

  1. Support change management activities associated with programme implementation, including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and training coordination.
  2. Facilitate the adoption of new processes, tools, and systems, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.

Risk and Issue Management:

  1. Identify, assess, and prioritize programme risks and issues, developing mitigation and contingency plans to minimize their impact.
  2. Monitor the resolution of risks and issues, tracking progress and escalating unresolved matters as necessary.
  3. Conduct lessons learned sessions to capture insights and enhance future programme performance.

As a Programme Management Officer, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the success of strategic initiatives within Banking CIB, playing a pivotal role in driving transformation and innovation in the ever-evolving banking landscape.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certification in project or programme management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in programme management office (PMO) roles within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Proficiency in programme management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, SharePoint).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving attitude with a commitment to driving continuous improvement.
