Our team aims to enhance the commercial success of long/short investment teams through targeted development programs. The team focuses on developing skills of investment professionals. Primary development programs include analyzing stock pitches, consolidating and sharing best practices, and providing analyses and data to partners across the firm.
We are seeking someone with a passion for the public markets who can contribute to the team’s goal of improving employee performance across our hedge fund’s long/short equities teams.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and update curriculum of best practices to promote continuous learning and improvement on the investment platform (recent modules include Shorting, Trading and Execution, Integrating Primary Research, Company Meetings)
- Project-based work in support of Head of Investment Professional Development and senior management
- Play an essential role in supporting internal processes (e.g., analyst review, coaching sessions, learning sessions, and more)
- Build analytical tools for measuring and improving long/short team performance and investment process
- Data analysis based on stock pitch performance and other internal performance metrics
What’s Required
- 2-6 years of relevant quant research background from brokers
- High level of proficiency at written and verbal communication with the ability to interface with PMs/Senior Management
- Superior analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to manage projects end-to-end, exercising strong decision-making capabilities while executing on the team’s vision
- Demonstrated interest in equity markets and investing, prior investing experience will be helpful in this role
- Financial acumen and understanding of financial statement analysis, different business models and industries, modeling skills a plus
- Strong social aptitude with the ability to build relationships across the investment platform
- Excellent technical skills in PowerPoint/Excel/Bloomberg, presentation-building, database analytics, and potentially programming experience
- GPA 3.5/ 4.0 or above
