Program Manager, Quality & Support

We, the Quality & Support team in R&D, are a central team that provides critical services to the R&D organization to ensure that the best possible processes are followed, securing quality for all IFS customers. This includes having the right infrastructure, processes, and technologies in place, and making sure that results are measured, monitored, and delivered. Our team is a mix of software engineers, process managers, program managers and DevOps engineers, all working together to deliver our vision.

We are looking for a Program Manager who can support us with the successful execution of various projects driven by our team.

The Program Manager will ensure proper management of several initiatives and report the progress against the plan to a number of stakeholders. He or she would be excellent at managing change, possess great communication skills, and have a proven ability to prioritize, negotiate, and resolve conflicts across multiple initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery of software.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and ensure successful delivery of quality and support initiatives.
  • Convert investment cases into action plans and clear direction to the team.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with program objectives.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on program execution, milestones, and issues.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies and risks and take proactive mitigation actions.
  • Continuous improvement to streamline and improve efficiency across quality and support processes.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting effective teamwork across all levels of the organization.

To be a successful  Program Manager  at IFS,  having a positive attitude and a “can-do” mindset is key. We expect you to “think outside the box” and be a front runner when it comes to challenging the status quo in the strive for improvements. You are open-minded, self-driven, take initiative,  and  a quick learner. 

We are looking for people with: 

  • University degree, or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • Professional qualifications in project management would be a definite advantage.
  • 2+ years leadership or managerial experience in quality/support operations or related field.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and garner stakeholder support.
  • Ability to stay focused, goal-driven and provide leadership in ambiguous situations.
  • Knowledge of agile practices is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence is an advantage.
