Production Valve Operator 2nd Shift

Core Responsibilities 

  • Properly receive, handle and store material as directed.
  • Use SAP to order material, track material and transfer orders. 
  • Proficiently operate pallet jacks per work area.
  • Ensure valve lines have material, hoppers are maintained and lot numbers are tracked.
  • Conduct quality checks and first piece inspections.
  • Control and contain scrap, as well as complete the Scrap Sheet for documentation. 
  • Adhere to the posted work instructions.
  • Assist Maintenance Technician with keeping the production line running. For example: trouble lights, machine stops, cleaning jams, and assisting with PM activates as needed. 
  • Keep the work area clean and organized, and complete the cleaning log. 
  • Apply and adhere to 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the work area. 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Basic Mechanical aptitude;
  • Ability to perform work in cooperation with multiple team members;
  • Multitasking;
  • Self directed;
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment;
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a repetitive basis;
  • Ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English.
