Job Summary:
With the direct support of the Production Manager, the Production Trainer will play a vital role in developing and delivering training programs to ensure our Production team is equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for work in our facility. This position will also be responsible for maintaining all production training documentation to ensure compliance in ISO, SEI and Customer audits. The Production Trainer will train employees both in a classroom setting and at their workstations. The production trainer will also provide feedback, coaching and support annual recertification training. They will gain proficiency in all areas of production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in learning and development, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for fostering employee growth.
Description of Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to become proficient in all aspects of the semiconductor wafer manufacturing polishing processes.
  • Gain understanding in all aspects of personal, group and safety requirements to ensure proper training documentation and support required follow-up.                     
  • Build and maintain working relationships with multiple departments including but not limited to Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Human Resources.
  • Leads training of new employees and supports training of existing production employees.
  • Intricate and leads all development and updates of the company’s training materials.
  • Coordinates new hire’s orientation, initial training and continued education.
  • Signs off on training tasks sheet.
  • Provides updates and communication to Production Leadership and Human Resources in regards to employees’ development.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. 
  • Analyze training needs and outcomes to continuously improve and update training programs. 
  • Maintain training records and report on training activities and outcomes to management. 
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to employees to support their professional growth 
  • Accurate data collection and entry into Excel or other training support platforms.
  • Ensure conformance of all safety processes and procedures.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to trainees.
  • Recommends trainee to Production Coordinator for certification.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
                            
             
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in developing and facilitating training programs, preferably in a customer service and/or manufacturing environment. 
  • High level of teamwork and cooperation. 
  • Position requires the ability to strictly follow safety requirements at all time. 
  • Understanding of basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are required.  
  • Requires a high level of self-initiative, desire to learn, evolve position and drive results through development. 
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to listen and pay close attention.  
  • Ability to use manufacturing process equipment, PC and peripherals (printer, scanner), basic hand tools, cleaning supplies and equipment. 
  • Ability to communicate across multiple departments and levels of business..                        
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a multitasking environment and to adjust to rapidly shifting priorities.          
  • Strong computer knowledge especially with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Safety-first mindset where requirements will be strictly followed and promoted at all times.
  • High School diploma or GED required, Associate’s degree or higher preferred 
  • 1-2 years of education and training experience. 
  • Prior clean room experience preferred. 
  • Position requires English speaking and reading skills. 
  • Reliable and Consistent attendance is a must 
Physical Demands:
  • Standing and walking frequently during shift.
  • Sitting and working on computer frequently during shift.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling 25-50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Stooping, kneeling, and crouching occasionally.
Work Environment:
  • General manufacturing and clean room environment.
  • Workroom can be noisy with multiple pieces of machinery operating at the same time.
  • Workroom can be wet.
·       Working with toxic or caustic chemicals daily.
·       The continuous use of factory provided uniforms and special factory shoes are required. Anyone entering a clean room is required to wear full Class 10 Cleanroom outfits, inclusive of snoods, masks, bunny suits, boots and gloves for several hours at a time.
Additional Items:
  • Must be flexible with scheduling. Although this is generally a set schedule, there will be business needs that dictate some shift changes and overtime.
  • Use of factory provided uniforms and special factory shoes are required. Additionally, some roles will be requirement to wear full Class 10 Cleanroom outfit (inclusive of snoods, masks, bunny suits, boots and gloves) at times for this role.
