Production Technician

Leidos delivers critical capability in Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defence (CBRND). We supply protection technology and training to the Australian Defence Force.

Due to the nature of the role, you must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain and hold a Baseline AGSVA security clearance.

We procure, inspect, test and ship various protective equipment. In addition, we train both new and existing defence personnel to use the supplied equipment. As technology improves, so does our focus on equipment that protects and responds to developing CBRN threats.

Located at our site in Prestons and reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Technician will:

  • Plan, coordinate and carry out quality control activities on CBRN protective technology.
  • Inspect, maintain and repair equipment following the Maintenance Management Plan
  • Input all calibration, servicing and work orders through our ERP system
  • Review CBRN systems and recommend changes
  • Create and improve Standard Operating Procedues (SOP)

Ideally, you will have

  • Certificates in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or similar
  • A Valid Drivers Licence and Forklift Licence or willingness to gain Forklift Licence
  • Experience in a facilities, manufacturing or warehouse environment where you've worked using SOPs or equivalent
  • Ability to safely lift boxes to 20kg
