Your New Role
The Production Technician is required to undertake planning, coordinating, assist supervising and leading of assigned production operator teams in the maintenance and operation of equipment at the MSF, SSF and various Defence sites around the nation. The position reports to the Production Supervisor.
Specifics of the role:
- Assist Production Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor, and Operations Manager with organising of delivery/return and servicing of CBRND Packages.
- Complete inspections, maintenance, and repair of CBRND equipment in accordance with the Maintenance Management Plan (MMP).
- Manage the data entry in ERP system for all calibration, servicing, and work orders.
- Assist with the asset planning of CBRND equipment to determine usage and reporting.
- Quality and inspections of equipment to ensure accurate build records and for stocktaking.
- Assist with creating/reviewing of CBRND systems and associated equipment SOPs.
- Improve function and reliability of CBRND systems and associated equipment by analysing performance results, identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
- Maintain safe and healthy work in all Leidos facilities and Defence sites by following and enforcing site environmental health and safety (EHS) policies and procedures, complying with applicable Work Health Safety (WHS) Act standards.
- Interstate travel required.
- Secondary Function, when required to support Warehouse Activities.
About You and What You'll Bring
Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company’s objectives. Ideally, you will also have:
- Certificate III or IV in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Fitter or similar
- Valid Drivers Licence and Forklift Licence or willingness to gain Forklift Licence
- Experience in supervision and leadership
- Post apprenticeship experience in a facilities, manufacturing, warehouse environment
- Production Technician experience in manufacturing environments, using SOP’s, process flow diagrams and recording build process results for quality documentation. The ability to read and understand Engineering drawings and schematics
- Ability to work autonomously as well as contribute to a team and professional environment
- Physically fit as manually handling of 20kg boxes is required daily.
Due to the nature of the role, you must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and hold a Baseline AGSVA security clearance.
