The Production Technician shall:
- Sterilize, prepare, and organize all necessary equipment and reagents into carts trays for use during sterile test sessions
- Perform sample setups in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Setup and prepare media quality control and growth promotion
- Perform monthly air sampling
- Perform cleaning duties, equipment PM maintenance and QC recording
- Perform data entry into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Operate sterilization equipment (i.e., autoclaves) and sonicators
- Clean the Controlled Testing Environments (CTEs)
- Prepare media, instruments, and supplies needed for Technologists to perform testing in CTEs
- Maintain bacteria-free work areas and proper clean room sterility by using aseptic procedures and following all department cleaning guidelines.
- Keep accurate records of sterilization and supply inventory, check expiration dates, and reorder supplies
- Work within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
- Adhere to all quality and safety standards, policies and protocols in the lab as well as ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies
- Work under moderate degree of supervision, referring complex and/or unusual problems to a supervisor
- Comply with departmental and company safety guidelines including proper use of PPE
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school degree or GED preferred
- Demonstrated skills
- Attention to detail is critical and need to adhere to strict procedures to prevent contamination of samples, equipment and CTEs
- Interpersonal skills are needed to work well with others in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to safely work within an environment in which potentially infectious human blood and body fluids are present, utilizing all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 1 year of experience preferred

- This laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials. All employees must abide by Eurofins DPT’s Safety and Exposure procedures. This includes using the provided safety clothing and equipment.

- Regular: Wednesday-Saturday 7:00 am-5:30 pm
- Training: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
