Job Summary 

In this position an individual will be able to make use of their interpersonal and technical skills to help lead the Overmolded Cordset Production. They will get to oversee a growing a department to lead the individuals on the shift in learning new processes and optimizing existing ones. By working with others on the administrative staff they will help to improve the key metrics of the production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Track, document, and coordinate performance goals and objectives within all production areas.
  • Monitor and analyze performance and take actions to optimize performance for efficient production with appropriate staff.
  • Develop plans to meet forecasted levels. Work to create an adaptable and flexible workforce that can pivot to changes in customer ordering patterns.
  • Assure all direct personnel are hired, trained, and aligned to meet delivery, quality, and efficiency performance targets.
  • Fully understand quality standards, control quality revisions and non-conformances.
  • Support Lean and Operational Excellence initiatives and strive for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology with 3 - 5 years supervisory experience; or 7 (+) years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong computer knowledge, and efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others, by coaching, leading, mentoring, and directing others in a production environment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend English written assembly prints.
  • General knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • General knowledge of production order planning.
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude toward all aspects of work.
  • Remain adaptable, embrace change, and mentor direct reports through change processes.
  • Apply effort and energy to lifelong learning and strive to continually grow.
  • Embrace change if it will provide future benefits.

Essential Job Functions

  • Able to use computer for two hours at a time without break.
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Able to use pallet jack with 300 pounds.
  • Able to work 6-day week, if required.
  • Able to spread hours between shifts as needed.
  • Able to accommodate occasional travel overseas for up to 7 working days at a time.
  • Able to drive or fly to distant supplier, customer, or training session and stay overnight for periods of up to a week.
  • Attendance in accordance with company policies.
