Job Description
 
The Production Scheduler/Planner is responsible for developing and utilizing procedures necessary to plan the product realization process and inventory control requirements in a way that satisfies the demands of sales for lead time and customer satisfaction, while scheduling the organizations resources in a way that meets the organization’s general objectives regarding profitability, cost controls, and productivity.
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Accurately date the product realization process for incoming sales requests.
  • Validate material usage requirements in the dating of production and sales orders.
  • Manage inventory requirements to service sales expectations and cashflow targets.
  • Create and maintain production order folders & schedules.
  • Responsible for managing production floor planning boards.
  • Rushing expedites to production floor.
  • Updating & maintaining missing parts report (including buyer requests, communicating calculated dates to customer service, and updating of SAP/EXEC Control production and sales order dates).
  • Properly schedule staff and equipment based on capacity constraints to meet the needs of the customer base, while successfully meeting company performance expectations.
  • Identify concerns and develop process improvement standards.
  • Conduct timely communications with customer service, ensuring that any product realization information necessary for the customer is available and accurate.
 
 
Qualifications:
Minimum required skills:
 
  • Ability to work effectively within EXEC Control. Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
  • 2+ years of experience in production scheduling / manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.      
  • Excellent analytical skills and computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Able to work in a team environment, understanding MRP processes and fulfilling objectives with minimum direct supervision
  • Able to respond to internal requests for information in a timely and courteous manner.
 
 
 
Education and/or Experience:
A high school diploma or GED is necessary for this position. The candidate should possess the capability to acquire proficiency in operating calipers, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt to this essential tool. Furthermore, the individual should be capable of executing basic set-up functions on machinery, showcasing hands-on competence in machine operations. Additionally, a crucial skill set includes the ability to read and interpret various documents such as prints, production orders, safety rules, as well as operating and maintenance instructions. This multifaceted skill combination is vital for successful performance in the specified role.
Language skills:
The position requires strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team, demonstrating sound judgment in decision-making. Candidates should also be able to read, interpret and translate documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
 
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations; ability to convert metric units correctly and apply the conversions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to read and understand laboratory standards, policies, and instructions.
