Kepak is one of Europe's leading food producers, is seeking a Knife Skills Operative to join our team at our Bodmin site. As a Knife Skills Operative, your role will be essential in ensuring that our meat products are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
- Use knives and other equipment to prepare and process meat products according to production specifications particularly being able to break jaws trim pluck's and trim a wide range of offal products.
- Ensure that meat products are cut and trimmed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Keep work area clean and follow all safety regulations and procedures.
- Meet production goals and work as a team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Properly store and handle meat products to prevent waste and spoilage.
- Perform quality inspections on meat products to ensure they meet established standards.
- Continuously learn and improve knowledge of knife skills and meat processing techniques.
- The ability to work at height (Training Given)
You will start work at 06:30 in the morning and work until production is finished, Monday to Friday with weekends off. This role offers a full time contract based on 45 hrs per week any hours worked over the 45 will be paid at time & quarter of your hourly rate. You will have 2 x 30 min breaks per day.
Depending on your experience you will start on £12.44 per hour, this can increase the more you learn and develop. With the top earning potential being £19.44 per hour.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a knife skills or meat processing role preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow strict production specifications and safety procedures.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, and lift and move heavy items.
- Excellent communication skills, including fluent English language proficiency.
