SPOKE is hiring a

Production Manager

Richmond, United Kingdom
Full-Time

As our Production Manager, it’s your job to co ordinate and deliver our quarterly collections. We are looking for an all rounder who understands the end to end process and has a track record of driving a Critical Path day to day.

You will:

  • Set up the seasonal costing and delivery schedule
  • Manage the Critical Path - chase suppliers for weekly reports, conduct bi weekly meetings with suppliers, and update the critical path accordingly
  • Flag any issues in real time with proposed resolutions
  • Distribute approved PO’s to Suppliers
  • Approve invoices as they come in - matching to PO’s and flagging any reconciliation issues
  • Place fabric and greige orders where required
  • Manage trim stocks to ensure availability and control liability
  • Collate and review costings with Head of Production to ensure target margin is achieved
  • Liase with freight forwarder - arrange shipment bookings and monitor deliveries
  • Report on weekly intake and communicate any delays across the business
  • Manage running liability and yearly stock takes

You will report to the Head of Production – but, of course, will need to work autonomously and independently. You’ll work closely with the rest of the Product team and Buying & Merchandising

Requirements

In an ideal world, you’d have ...

  • 5 years in a similar production or project management role
  • Proven track record working with complex supply chains - ideally in Europe, Turkey and the Far East
  • Crystal clear communication and people skills
  • High proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, with a willingness to learn new systems as required
  • A keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills
  • Experience in Menswear is useful, but not necessary

BUT ... more than anything else, we value horsepower, and hustle. What’ll make you stand out:

  • Commercial instincts - a great, natural sense for what matters, what moves the needle, and what is actually viable
  • Great project management skills - the ability to plan work, track progress and keep the wheels turning. This may include formal project management qualifications.
  • A bias to action - a proven track record of getting things done, at high tempo
  • A relentless drive to improve and optimise
  • The standard startup toolkit: initiative, energy, a high degree of comfort in an unstructured environment, and a willingness to work across a broad range of roles
  • An authentic interest in fashion / style / menswear

Benefits

  • A competitive salary and annual bonus programme
  • 25 days of holiday - and 1 additional day for each year of service
  • Vitality health insurance
  • 3% pension matching
  • £500 annual learning and development budget
  • 4&1 working week - work from home (or anywhere else) 1 day per week
  • Regular team socials and events
  • Perhaps the most generous 'trouser allowance' anywhere in the world*
