Here at SIDE Paris we are looking for a new Production Manager to come and join our team. Within this role you will be responsible for the smooth running of audio localization production across multiple projects and in multiple languages, including everything from indie mobile games to AAA console games, as well as voice production for other tech & digital media, working with a multitude of clients from around the world. You will be responsible for the timely completion of agreed deliverables and milestones, to a very high standard, while keeping to the client’s budget.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare initial dialogue production cost estimates for clients based on the client’s early brief.
  • Work to short-list actors to present to the client and/or audition for targeted roles in the game.
  • Prepare more detailed cost estimates as the client’s brief expands and early script information becomes available.
  • Take the first pass of vendor contracts and talent agreements where necessary, to pick up obvious errors or points for negotiation.
  • Prepare a project schedule of actors and their characters to record.
  • Negotiate fees with acting agents where necessary.
  • Contract and book the actors.
  • Link for the localization department to make sure translation assets are ready
  • Prepare recording scripts for actors, directors and studio engineers, along with any other essential assets required for the smooth running of the recording sessions.
  • Brief recording studio teams about the production.
  • Track the progress of the recording sessions throughout, updating schedules and actor, director and studio bookings.
  • Integrate script updates and changes throughout the production and adjust schedules accordingly.
  • Track the progress of final audio assets deliverables, by liaising with the company’s post-production team.
  • Liaise with the client throughout.
  • Track all costs throughout.
  • Prepare final costs for the client to raise their purchase order.
  • Handle all queries and issues arising.

Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience as an audio localization project manager in the game’s industry, preferably at an outsourcer
  • Good knowledge and contacts within the Paris dubbing community
  • 3 years’ experience in a role with responsibility for multiple budgets in excess of £50,000 each.
  • Excellent client facing and internal communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experienced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, in particular of Microsoft Excel, ideally comfortable using formulas such as SUMIFS and COUNTIFS to produce stats in relation to dialogue scripts.
  • Both a self-starter, able to work alone as and where necessary, and a team player, able to muck in at all levels to get the job done.
  • Comfortable both taking instruction from senior members of staff and giving instruction to junior members of staff.
