Production Manager, Clay Lake

Shifts: We operate shifts on either days or nights, and are open to applicants who prefer Nights 6pm till 6am 4 on 4 off, or Days 6am till 6pm 4 on 4 off (we do not mix days and nights!) 

Here at Gousto Production Managers lead their shift as part of our Unbox tribe. With overall responsibility for Start of line, Ice addition, Decant, frozen date coding, pick lines, clarification, Mezz floor and box close; this role ensures that business and departmental targets and objectives are continually achieved, whilst maintaining a five star workplace culture.  

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Obsess over customer experience; striving to raise the bar at all times.
  • Ensure that health and safety is of the highest priority and  considered in all plans, and activities. 
  • Develop and maintain a quality culture to ensure quality and technical standards are understood and embraced by the operational team, driving GMP standards
  • Manage the performance of all team members through the use of performance management systems. 
  • Undertake regular 1-1’s with leadership on shift to include review of KPI’s
  • Appraise and regularly review direct report managers to ensure individual and company objectives are achieved.
  • Coach and develop your team to ensure business succession plans and individual career aspirations are met, with robust PDP’s in place
  • Conduct disciplinary investigations, chairing hearings up to dismissal.
  • Conduct shift briefings to drive communication across the shift and an inclusive culture.
  • Drive the delivery of operational KPI’s: OTIF, Pickerspeed (BP/PPH), labour, Tote throughput, changeover times, box completion.
  • Report on variances to planned KPI targets and have departmental plans to drive improvements.
  • Plan, organise and measure direct labour & agency requirements to ensure agreed targets are met.
  • Stakeholder relationship management with Gousto departments such as Supply Chain, Engineering etc.
  • Lead on Continuous Improvement.

 

     

      Who you are:

      We are looking for a progressive Production Manager who is skilled in managing and leading culture in a large team. You will:

      • Have Qualifications in Food Safety Level 3, HACCP and IOSH
      • Have excellent organisational skills, as a confident and forward-thinking team player.
      • Excellent attention to detail, flexibility and problem-solving.
      • Budgetary/ financial awareness.
      • A high level of computer literacy – in particular, Google sheets, docs.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, and lead team briefs.
      • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
      • Leadership skills, keen to develop, educate and drive change from within.
      • Lean competency and or Lean project experience.
