As the Production Manager for Experiential Events, you hold a pivotal position overseeing and enhancing the operational aspects of our experiential program. Your leadership and strategic vision are instrumental in delivering seamless experiences that resonate with our company's values. With a focus on project management, you're committed to refining systems and establishing sturdy foundations for processes, aiming to unlock the full potential of events while facilitating their growth.
Production and Management Responsibilities:
- General Event Operations (Vendor and Supplier Management): Liaise, negotiate contracts, and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely and quality delivery of goods and services.
- Operational Strategy: Develop and implement operational strategies and user-friendly internal systems aligned with company goals for flawless event execution.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for streamlining processes, enhancing efficiency, and implementing best practices across event operations.
- Resource Management: Oversee allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity.
- Financial + Legal Management: Collaborate with finance and legal teams to manage budgets and invoicing processes, secure contracts, optimize spending, and ensure profitability.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Identify risks, develop contingency plans, and oversee mitigation strategies for events.
- Timeline and Schedule Management: Create and manage detailed timelines, schedules, and critical paths for event activities.
- Permitting and Compliance: Ensure legal compliance, obtain permits, and uphold safety standards, facilitating event launch certainty.
- Working with executive staff to allocate resources for new events, ensuring identified deliverables and deadlines.
- Logistics Coordination: Spearhead logistics planning, capacity regulations, onsite staff plans including transportation, accommodations, and on-site setups, ensuring everyone can work efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent management experience in event planning.
- Proven Experience: Minimum 5 years in event operations, working with budgets ranging from $50k-1MM+
- Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
- Operational Excellence: Proficiency in optimizing processes and resource management.
- Financial Acumen: Exceptional budgeting skills and financial management.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical and proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive Proficiency: Extensive expertise in Excel, adept at creating templates and utilizing spreadsheets to develop efficient systems and processes.
- Extraordinary organizational and time management skills, strong ability to multitask.
- Deep knowledge of cutting-edge venues, vendors and resources and knowledge of what things cost.
