We are currently seeking an experienced Production Engineerin support of the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS). The position will provide high-level systems engineering support, including trade-off studies, risk and configuration management, performance analysis, and technical reviews. Services will focus on transforming system architectures, defining alternative concepts, and recommending design solutions for hardware and software integration. They will also conduct engineering analysis and testing documentation, ensuring integration, lifecycle cost reductions, and system improvements for assigned vehicles or products.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing hardware/software configurations and conducting functional analyses. 
  • Supporting tear-down, installation, inspection, and identification of necessary repair parts/kits. 
  • Performing electrical and physical integration of subsystems and components. 
  • Conducting failure analysis and engineering design review for lifecycle cost reductions. 
  • Analyzing product changes and recommending component and vehicle testing. 
  • Delivering design analysis, layout, simulation, and design change recommendations for vehicle/product improvements. 

Qualifications

  • Secret Security Clearance 
  • A Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering from a college or university or four years of relevant production/supply chain experience in automotive or defense industry    
  • A minimum of two years of experience in any general engineering or quality discipline with coordination, execution, and support of DoD systems OR a minimum of four years experience as a user or subject matter expert of ground combat systems OR a minimum of one year Industry equivalent experience.
