Study and implement systems / tools / procedures to optimize the production operation and also participate in the continuous performance to achieve the set goals of the production department.
MAIN ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Address production bottlenecks for a better output or a greater stability.
2. Implement instructions concerning production key parameters.
3. Implement production conditions for new or modified installations under supervision of the Production Manager.
4. Conduct production studies which he deems necessary or which are requested by the line management.
5. Regularly monitor the parameters relating to plant operation.
6. Liaise with the technical management for process issues and take part in the Plant development Projects.
7. Inform and train control room operational staff when need arises.
CONTEXT / OBJECTIVES
Address problems on daily basis.
Regularly monitor the parameters relating to plant operations; set up / supervise regular follow up of various plant performance and condition.
Define instructions concerning process key parameters; ensure the relevance of key parameters used to monitor the production process as well as process data.
Give recommendations concerning modification to be made on various control parameters or on the process.
Develop production process for a better output and stability; define production conditions for new or modified installations.
Organize and plan regular combustion audits (burner settings, fuel preparation etc); measure cyclone efficiency.
Organize and plan for the introduction of a new alternative fuels / raw materials when neccessary.
Liaise with the technical management on process issues and take part in the development carried out by them.
Participate actively in the specialized process audits for the plant.
Monitor continued supply of only good quality clinker and be able to balance throughput with quality (liaising with the QA/QC Chemist).
Ensure that the summary of key operational parameters are used to drive performance towards continuous improvement and is presented in the approved format.
Ensuring that recommended modifications made on various control parameters and process inputs lead to improvement in;
Fuel consumption
Power consumption
Increased output
