LumiQ is hiring a

Production Coordinator

Toronto, Canada
Full-Time
We’re LumiQ – an audio-first professional education platform for CPAs. We help CPAs get their continuing professional development (CPD) hours through engaging podcasts with business leaders (the CFOs of Slack, Shopify, Yelp, Yahoo!, TD Bank, and Wealthsimple just to name a few). CPD/CPE is the yearly required learning that CPAs generally dread doing. They’re tired of dealing with boring webinars, irrelevant content and product experiences that are out-of-date. That’s why they’ve flocked to LumiQ and our mission to make professional learning enjoyable.

With hundreds of companies signed up, we’re at the precipice of launching a global movement that’s going to massively change the professional education and podcasting industries. Following our recent Series A, we’ve expanded into the US market and are seeing wonderful early signs of traction.

Despite our lightning growth, we tend not to subscribe to the mantra of “move fast and break things.” Our goal is to build a profitable company, where our employees can learn and grow, and where customers see real value and genuinely enjoy using the product. We are building a company meant to last, and if this resonates with you, we hope you will consider joining us on our journey to transform professional education!

This position offers an excellent chance to delve into content creation and podcast production. You'll have the opportunity to wear multiple hats, including project management, writing, and guest communication.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Guest Communications: You will be a key touch point between LumiQ and our podcast guests. You will be their resource for booking outline calls, recording times, and getting headshots. The producers and guests will look to you to make sure everything for an interview is organized and ready to go.
  • Outreach: You will play a key role in finding and booking high value guests. Think household names like Google, Slack, Uber etc.. You should feel comfortable writing engaging cold emails and implementing other non traditional strategies to secure big name guests.
  • Project Management: We have a robust project management system where you will be responsible for updating logistic information on any given episode. This could be the date a recording was scheduled, or checking off that artwork is ready to go.
  • Writing: In post-production, our episodes require a variety of written content. You will help support producers with writing tasks like crafting titles and descriptions to formulating quiz questions and creating visual aids.
  • Review and Quality Control: You will be responsible for ensuring episodes are properly uploaded, and that audio files are properly exported and all copy is grammatically correct and error free! Additionally, this role will review transcripts for accuracy and upload them to their respective episodes.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • You are organized: While you are creative, you also take joy in creating spreadsheets, checklists, and processes. You are detail-oriented and know how to create systems for yourself to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
  • You can multitask:  The team will be depending on you for all of the pieces that make our engine run. You should excel at juggling multiple schedules, personalities, and being flexible in moving the pieces around to adjust for a fast-paced environment and last minute requests.
  • You are a communicative team player: This role will be supporting multiple producers, so strong, proactive communication and collaborative skills are a must. You feel success when your team is successful.
  • You love podcasts: This role has a unique view of all parts of the podcast process and is designed for a recent grad or someone looking to make a career switch to creative podcast production. You are excited to learn the process from scratch by starting with administrative and support tasks and growing into a role that suits your skills such as producing, hosting, audio engineering, or podcast operations.

If you think your experience is most of the way there we’d still love to meet you!
