The role of a Production Coordinator would be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the studio.
A Production Coordinator plays a vital role in managing the operations, client relations, and strategic direction of a creative studio or agency.
They require a combination of educational qualifications, substantial experience, leadership skills, financial acumen, and proficiency in relevant software tools to excel in their role.
Effective communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to balance project management with business development are also critical for success in this position.
Role Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the studio, including project planning, schedule development, resource allocation, and workflow management.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with client teams through proactive communication and problem-solving. The person will need to skilfully juggle dates with several different productions to make sure everyone gets the time they need.
- Production Assistance: Reporting to the Head of Production, this role is an integral role in the delivery, scheduling and organisation of client projects. The perfect candidate will be able to run production errands as needed.
- Financial Management: experiencing with monitoring studio budgets, processing purchase orders and reconcile financials
- Quality Assurance: Has a strong understanding of correct briefing processes, and interpreting a brief, with timelines at the forefront of everything you do.
Personal Skills
- Substantial experience in project management, studio management, or a related role within the creative industry, with a track record of successful project delivery and team leadership.
- Self organisation, problem solving & time management skills with delegation and performance management.
- Ability to work under pressure & multi-task
- Serve as an office all-rounder, handling various administrative tasks.
- Exhibit excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively without direction.
- Ability to anticipate and address client needs to deliver exceptional service
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or a related field is often preferred. Relevant certifications or coursework in project management or strategic planning can also be beneficial.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities to lead and motivate creative teams and ensure project success.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions, team collaboration, and strategic planning.
- Financial Acumen: Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Strategic Thinking: The ability to think strategically and make informed decisions to drive the studio's growth and success.
