Production Control Planner III Req: 160-23
Basic Purpose
Planner III/Sr is responsible for production planning for assigned product, creating and maintaining production schedules, creating and managing shop orders, and working with Mfg for best efficiency. Working with customer service in assigned sections and product lines. Persons in this position will execute these functions daily to meet on time delivery targets, production targets, and profit targets as directed by management
Basic Position Duties
- Production Control – Prepare production schedules to ensure safety stock levels are maintained and customer orders ship on time.
- Production Control – Prepare production plans and shop orders projecting capacity requirements for assigned production areas. Manage shop orders – distribute to Mfg., monitoring completion, closing, replacing, etc.
- Production Control – Create production schedule and shop orders for child parts. Manage shop orders – assist in scheduling to machines, distributing, closing, replacing, etc.
- Production Control – Participate in daily production meeting with manufacturing to support assembly and meet daily targets. Production Control – Work with other members of Production Control, Manufacturing, Business Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Shipping daily to meet all goals and targets for SEWS departments
- Production Control – Cross train in other Production Control Associates areas in Planning and Customer Service to support during peak periods and absences
- Other duties and assignments as requested by Management
Position Requirements
- Education: BS in related field
- Experience: 5-7 years progressive material or production control planning responsibility
- Experience with MRP system and inventory control
- Proficient in Microsoft office programs – Outlook, Excel, Word
