As a Product Template Specialist, you will help our team build helpful templates for Lucidchart and Lucidspark that bring in targeted traffic, give users a great starting point, and introduce them to new use cases for both products. This role will involve interviewing and applying insights from users and subject matter experts, designing and writing content for new templates, and collaborating on ways to further improve the template experience. The templates you create will live in Lucidchart and Lucidspark to be used by over 40 million people around the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Design templates and activities for Lucidchart and Lucidspark
  • Opportunity to create graphic design assets for templates
  • Write instructional and/or example content to support these templates
  • Interview users and subject matter experts to create more impactful templates and improve the user experience
  • Become an expert on the Lucidchart and Lucidspark products
  • Support efforts to translate and upload templates in all product languages
  • Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams and fellow designers on a wide range effective templates for users
  • Manage the design and uploading process for all project materials, based on best practices for using a content management system
  • Leverage a human-centered design process to deliver an easy-to-use user interface and user experience
  • Research customers, competitors, and products
  • Work with stakeholders and others to identify requirements
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups
  • Work with developers to ensure product quality
  • Work closely with product managers to maximize customer success
  • Ensure products are tested with customers and validated against business goals

Requirements:

  • Analytical thinker with the ability to simplify and organize complex information 
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A basic understanding of Lucidchart and Lucidspark
  • Quick, enthusiastic learner
  • Ability to problem-solve with minimal guidance
  • Proactive about asking for and incorporating feedback
  • A good eye for design and graphic design experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web
  • Proficiency in programs such as Adobe Suite, Figma or Sketch
