Product Strategist

About the Role:

The Product team at Maplecroft is entering a thrilling phase as we embark on a reimagining and rebuild of our core SaaS geospatial risk data platform. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for strategy and innovation and the ability to conduct market research that uncovers new opportunities driven by data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• • Project Leadership: Take accountability and ownership of the project plan for the new SaaS platform build, overseeing project planning, management, and roadmap development.
  • Market Research and Feedback: Organize, lead, and conduct market research and feedback sessions with the Client Council and Internal Steering Committee to shape wireframing for the new platform.
  • Market Trends and Strategy: Develop and drive adoption of a process/ framework to track market trends, providing insights to inform strategy and decision-making for the Product team and the wider business.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Develop and drive adoption of a process/ framework to track competitive intelligence to inform strategy and decision-making for the Product team and the wider business. For Product, develop competitive intelligence for relevant Data/Analytics/Geospatial SaaS competitors and potential partners.
  • KPI Analysis: Establish, track, evolve, and analyze key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for product performance metrics, fostering a data-driven product development culture.
  • Other: Cultivating new investment ideas from around the business and shepherding them through a stage gate process to bubble up high market potential ideas as candidates for investment

• Degree-level education or higher.
• 5+ Proven experience in product management or strategy.
• SaaS Expertise: Strong understanding of SaaS data/ analytics platforms and preferably hands-on experience with platform builds or overhauls. Experience with GIS a plus.
• Project Management: Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Strategic Thinking: A strategic thinker with a focus on driving innovation and enhancing product performance.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; financial analysis skills are a plus.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Innovative Mindset: Ability to think strategically and drive product innovation.
