Our team of approximately 90 engineers is working in small scrum teams. Each team has end to end responsibility for a specific product or part of our architecture. We work on a remote-first basis, coming together in person at our Amsterdam headquarters twice a year.

What is the role about?

The Product Owner is responsible for taking strategic decisions into actionable work to the product team. You will be part of the Public Cloud Feature team that provides the customer facing portal and rest apis of our Public Cloud. The Public Cloud product is a strategic product that forms the basis for our future cloud growth. Creating a vision and strategy with Product Management and executing this with the team is where your focus will be. You make tactical decisions on the next best thing to deliver, backlog priorities and how to best utilise the platforms. You continuously traverse the backlog; deep diving into the next thing to deliver and refine longer term items. You build strong relationships with stakeholders in different departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Product Managers, other Engineering Teams and Infrastructure teams to define your roadmap towards a scalable Public Cloud product.
• Refine complex initiatives into Minimum Viable Products and iterate on them
• Motivate the team with clear direction, articulating what and why
• Align with different departments, and manage related dependencies
• Find the right balance between new feature development, technical debt and platform deliveries.
• Align REST API and User Interface developments with the department standards.
• Advice together with your team how to grow the product.

Our ideal candidate has:

• 4-7 years of experience in the cloud industry
• Experience working as a Product Owner
• Energetic/go getter attitude, with proven capacity to motivate a team
• Commercial minded, able to focus on the customers’ and stakeholders’ needs
• Excellent communication skills (in English)
• You will maintain a technical focus with applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team, and you are willing to have technical involvement to support the team getting the job done.
