What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll have ownership and focus of a team backlog, working closely with our engineering team to plan and deliver features aligned to the product vision and strategy
- Working with a team to plan increments of work with stretching shared objectives and key results
- Leading refinement of new work to create solutions to customer problems that deliver business value
- Working closely with product managers and product designers to create great user experience
- Championing continued incremental improvement to our product and tech platform
- Ensuring features meet acceptance criteria, achieve the desired outcome and are ready for release
- Triage and management of inevitable bugs and issues that come with software development
- Managing and reporting product releases
You’ll need to bring to the role:
- A good product sense and mindset that goes beyond code release and includes in product performance metrics and tracking
- Experience in development of a direct to consumer product as a product owner or similar role where you’ve helped create and refine ideas and concepts through to delivery with development teams rather than just delivery of a well defined feature list
- To like working in a team and have a positive and collaborative get things done attitude
- A good technical understanding or at least the ability to work well with tech teams
- A good mind for unpicking problems and making team backlog level priority calls
- Experience or very good theoretical understanding of agile delivery/development methodologies
- Experience or very good theoretical understanding of set up running and tracking of A/B testing and feature experimentation
It would be great if you also had some of the following experience:
- Working in an ecommerce marketplace or aggregator/comparison services consumer business
- Product development of both web and mobile app experiences
- Product development under FCA regulation (such as credit cards, loans, car finance, mortgages)
- Working with API integration, micro-service and cloud platform development
- Ability to help create and define the right thing to build as well as building things right
- Working in a scaled agile framework like SAFe
