We are looking for a Product Owner to join our growing team. The successful candidate will contribute to building Avery Dennison’s Connected Product Cloud with the vision to give every physical product or item in the world a unique digital ID. This will include defining the product vision in conjunction with the Product Manager and managing the product development process. Other responsibilities include supporting the scrum team, managing backlog items, and optimising the value of the product. You should also be able to lead the product development team towards achieving the vision and mission of the organisation.
Activities may include, but are not limited to:
- Act as an interface between the development team and product manager
- Have a feature vision of what to build and convey that vision to the development team
- Translate project and market needs into clear and understandable requirements into user-stories
- Manage the product backlog and prioritise in collaboration with The Product Manager
- Oversee all stages of product creation, including design and development
- Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process to ensure committed sprint outcomes are delivered
- Actively collaborate with the development team and the Scrum Master.
- Lead Sprint planning meetings with the development team
- Receive and provide feedback during Sprints to ensure optimal progress
- Have ownership and continuously improve product requirements
- Responsible for the quality of the overall product in conjunction with the Product Manager
- Have responsibility for product deliverables, story approvals and release notes
- Deliver problem solving decision during sprints as required
- A university or higher education degree, or equivalent work experience preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of Product Owner / Product Manager experience, ideally with a cloud-based product
- Deep knowledge of the retail apparel market desired
- Solid technical background coupled with the desire and ability to grasp skills quickly
- Experienced in software development methodologies including Agile and scrum processes
- Team player and pro-active, ability to inspire colleagues: communicative, organized and visionary
- Skilled with sprint management tools such as DevOps or Jira
- Joy in learning new technologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Periodic travel is required with also the ability to lead impactful virtual meetings
