Position Title:

Product Operations Senior Manager 

Position Summary:

As we continue to expand our product management team, we are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Product Operations to manage the product operations activities for both the data management and analytics component of the platform. This role is responsible for ensuring the process and steps across product features intake, release planning, sprints execution, QA and release process.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Operations set up
    • Collaborate with product management – Manage the feature intake, feature prioritization, release planning, release execution, post release.
    • Collaborate with product engineering and ensure the process for engineering- scrum teams, team capacity & estimation, sprint execution, sprint deliverables.
    • Collaborate with product QA and ensure the process for sprint QA, SIT, performance testing and validation.
    • Identify deliverables and documentation scope across all teams and release phase
    • Managing RACI for all roles in the product organization
    • Create dashboards and reports across JIRA for status and health monitoring of product lifecycle
  • Product Releases:
    • Collaborate with product management teams to publish the objectives, initiatives for every release
    • Collaborate with product managers to complete the decomposition and identify the initial scope release
    • Collaborate with engineering and QA to estimate the initial scope
    • Manage release planning across teams to finalize the scope and timelines of every release
    • Monitor the progress of the release and product weekly release status report
    • Identify risks and plan for risk mitigation plans
    • Manage scrums to build the product based on planned agile sprints
    • Manage QA and validation activities
    • Manage deployment across environments
    • Manage for release planning activities (documentation, release notes)
    • Sharing release updates to other functional groups – product support, product services, sales and marketing team.
  • Post release:
    • Working with hyper care team for post release support
    • Collaboration efforts with product support team for triage and to enable support across Product, engineering and QA for post release issues

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in product/portfolio/project operations
  • 2 - 5 years’ experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
  • 3 -6 years’ experience leading technical projects.
  • Strong experience in managing of operations in a product
  • Strong experience of release management experience (End to end)
  • Strong program management experience
  • Scrum master experience in a product management organization
  • Strong experience in setting up reports and workflows in JIRA
  • Experience in creating and publish status reports for a product organization
  • Deep experience in Agile development concepts
  • High people skills and collaboration
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations and enable cross team collaborations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of project management processes and tools (e.g. project scheduling, budgeting, status reporting).
  • Ability to write complex reports in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to team members.
  • Lead and manage complex projects or functional areas.
  • Actively contribute to the development of departmental strategies.
  • Continuously improve technical skills and stay up-to-date with emerging technologies.
  • Meets budgets and schedules for entire project lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing product management tools such as aha, Jira/JPD and productboard.
