That is why we are looking for a Power Systems Product Marketing Manager who will support our Power Systems team. Our Power Systems team offers integrated solutions, parts, and services to meet the needs of our commercial and industrial power customers, including power back-up, emergency power, and critical infrastructure support.

As the Power Systems Product Marketing Manager, you will implement product marketing strategies and support the Sales organization in driving sales and services for respective products. This role plays a strategic part in boosting awareness and preference for Carolina Cat Power Systems solutions among key decision-makers, partners, and influencers in the energy, industrial, healthcare, and technology sectors. You will showcase your expertise by driving sales efficiency through your product knowledge information and training. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, conduct market research, and develop compelling messaging and positioning for our products. Your strategic thinking and creativity will be essential in creating and implementing marketing plans and campaigns that effectively promote our Power Systems products, services, and solutions to drive customer engagement, adoption, retention, and growth.

Reporting directly to our VP, Marketing, you will work out of our Charlotte, NC location, with a hybrid work schedule option.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing strategies for assigned business unit through strategic marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, market saturation, and deliver superb customer experiences.
  • Support marketing and sales departments through collaboration, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders during implementation of marketing campaigns, projects, and/or initiatives.
  • Develop and drive successful go-to-market plans to include identifying customer needs and market trends, conducting market research and competitive analysis, identifying growth opportunities, and developing compelling messaging and positioning for our products and solutions (new and sustaining).
  • Create and implement marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement and adoption; assisting with pipeline build and promotions.
  • Develop and execute lead generation initiatives, including but not limited to content marketing, webinars, events, and partnerships.
  • Drive the creation of high-quality content tailored to the industrial audience.
  • Present marketing strategies to executive management, business unit managers, and/or sales representatives.
  • Collaborate with our digital marketing team to manage digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media, email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, to increase brand visibility and drive engagement.
  • Work in partnership with the Sales team with the necessary tools, materials, and resources to effectively communicate value proposition to customers.
  • Support overall marketing function through the attendance of marketing and sales events and/or meetings with OEM, business units, vendors, etc.
  • Provide weekly progress reports on marketing campaigns, projects, and/or initiatives, utilizing KPIs.
  • Assist in analyzing effectiveness of marketing campaigns, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Stay abreast of market trends in the industry and/or territory.
  • Responsible for advertising and event budget recommendations and/or allocations.
  • Maintain industry knowledge to support development of strategic marketing campaigns through attendance of training opportunities and/or research.
  • Provide thought leadership by participating in and developing case studies, white papers, competitive analysis, and go-to-market strategies to raise awareness of Power Systems products and solutions.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or equivalent with five or more years of experience in B2B product marketing and/or power-related field required.

Skills Required

  • Experience in B2B product marketing or product management
  • Understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
  • Proficient in problem-solving and strategic, critical thinking
  • Professional judgement and decision-making ability
  • Data mining and analysis skills to effectively report key performance indicators, forecast performance, and identify trends and challenges
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • A high level of diligence and good organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to interpret business needs and opportunities into strategic marketing action and support
  • Experience working with a Sales team

Computer Skills

  • Successful candidate will be advanced in Excel (pivot table, vlookup, data visualization, etc.), Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe Creative Suites (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator), Smartsheets, and prior experience using CRM tools.
  • Prior knowledge of marketing automation tools (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) preferred.
