Your Role in Our Journey

Our PMM team at Jane has two goals: Help us get to market, and help us stay there. We’re identifying new clinic needs, bringing awareness of Jane’s unique clinic management software to new practice areas and geographies while delighting our current customer base. There’s a lot of great product marketing to be done!

With this in mind, we’re excited to introduce a new position at Jane.app: Product Marketing Manager - Payroll and Compensation. This role is essential as we expand our offerings by integrating payroll functionality into our clinic practice management system. You’ll play a key role in researching market needs and trends, shaping and launching this new product line, navigating what change management and excitement looks like for our helpers.

The Impact You Could Have

  • Collaborate closely with our product team, including PM, Design, and Engineering, to shape and deliver a new payroll and compensation product.
  • Conduct market and customer research to understand needs and inform the features and monetization strategies.
  • Develop key value propositions that will offer a distinctive approach to managing clinic finance and payroll.
  • Support change management and plan the customer journey to ensure a smooth integration of payroll functionality.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and other departments to drive the success of our new product.

The Experience We Feel We Need

  • Minimum of 3 years of Product Marketing experience at a SaaS company.
  • “Builder” energy and vision: You’re comfortable with big challenges, and the idea of taking a new product line from 0 to 1, even it means a lot of iteration, experimentation and learning along the way.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills: You can clearly convey ideas and craft compelling messages, learning the Jane tone and way of on-brand communication quickly.
  • Strong research abilities: You excel at gathering and analyzing information to inform your strategies, using a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Strategic thinking: You have experience in building and executing effective go to market strategies.
  • Collaborative energy: You thrive in team environments and enjoy working closely with others, enjoying and embracing the diversity of other working styles and talents of others.
  • Adaptability: You are open to new ways of doing things and willing to learn the Jane approach to product marketing.
  • Partnership experience: You’ve successfully worked with various stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Bonus: Background in bringing a new product from 0-1 versus launching features in an existing platform and experience working in payroll and/or compensation technology.

Compensation Expectations for the Role

Jane’s committed to paying our team members fairly, clearly, and above all, paying for growth. This role has a minimum annual salary of $95,000 and maximum annual salary of $148,400. As you may have noticed, this salary range is quite large, and this is intentional to account for the growth someone will experience in the role throughout their time at Jane (i.e., from building the skills, to accomplished, to highly proficient, all the way to achieving excellence in the role). When hiring talented folks to join the Jane team, we’ve found that new team members are best set up for success when hired with the expectation of being fully accomplished in the role, which for this role would reflect a starting salary of $112,800.

It's also possible to join Jane at a salary above or below this, which would mean a salary below $112,800 typically reflects someone who has all the potential to be fully accomplished in the role but doesn't yet possess all the skills required, while a salary above $112,800 is typically for individuals who are currently in this role at Jane and had the opportunity to make a significant positive impact on our customers, product and company with deep Jane knowledge.
