The Product Marketing team at Lightspeed is seeking a results-oriented Product Marketing Manager to lead growth and lifecycle/customer marketing programs for the Financial Services portfolio, with a focus on Lightspeed Payments and Capital. Reporting to the Global Lead of Product Marketing for Financial Services, this position will: analyze trends in adoption and usage of our Financial Services products to inform and define marketing programs; drive ongoing experimentation and growth efforts to improve funnel performance; and drive the execution of growth/lifecycle marketing programs that support business goals. This position will also focus on, in collaboration with our Product teams, optimizing the onboarding experience for new merchants onto Lightspeed Payments and Capital.
To be successful, this role will: build relationships throughout the organization; interact with diverse stakeholders such as product, marketing, sales, customer service, partnerships and others in order to help accelerate the launch and lifecycle management of key Payment and Capital features across all relevant products; initiate and shape new programs and ways of working across teams.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Become an expert in the Financial Services industry and understand the evolving landscape that helps retailers & restaurateurs be successful.
- Learn the competitive landscape and their key product offerings to inform customer marketing and growth strategies
- Maintain a customer-first mindset to validate and define user personas that can be translated into insights and strategies.
- Responsible for defining customer marketing and growth tactics for key features, across Hospo and Retail audiences
- Conduct data analysis and market research to derive insights & inform plans for improving Payments and Capital adoption.
- Own development and execution of an experimentation roadmap; gather cross-functional buy-in and alignment across teams required to execute against growth strategy
- Contribute to the overall Financial Services Marketing roadmap of marketing initiatives that spans the customer lifecycle, from awareness and consideration through product adoption, onboarding and retention
- Support go-to-market planning and execution of key launches, in partnership with other FinServices Product Marketing Managers.
- Collaborate with regional Integrated Marketing Managers to coordinate rollout of global and region-specific initiatives on the Financial Services growth roadmap
- Developing collaborative relationships with various cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Managers, Sales, and production teams of creatives and automation specialists
- Work closely with Content, Design, Marketing Automation, and Product teams to develop creative and compelling content that resonates with our customers
What you need to bring to the team:
- 2-5 years experience working in product marketing, growth or lifecycle marketing, or similar go-to-market experience
- Self-starter attitude with an innate curiosity for uncovering new opportunities and an eagerness to bring them to life
- Previous background in SaaS marketing, preferably with experience in either consumer apps / technologies, early stage startups, or with exposure to small business audiences
- Experience working with product and engineering teams
- Excellent project management skills to lead and influence multiple cross-functional stakeholders to meet project objectives and deadlines
- Ability to build, maintain, and manage close working relationships across a variety of departments and levels
- Strong quantitative analytical ability and excellent written and oral communication skills
- Genuine interest in and curiosity in helping small businesses succeed
Even better if you have, but not necessary:
- MBA or Product Marketing Alliance certification
- Experience in the Financial Services industry in any capacity is a strong asset
