Product Marketing Manager - Financial Crime Data

The Role

As the Product Marketing Manager for fincrime data at ComplyAdvantage, your primary responsibility is to strategically package and position the fincrime data offerings provided by ComplyAdvantage. You will lead efforts to articulate the unique value and relevance of our data assets, which are integral components of anti-money laundering and financial fraud prevention initiatives for financial institutions.

Your role entails leveraging your expertise in fincrime data, including economic sanctions, watchlists, politically exposed persons (PEPs), adverse media, and ultimate beneficial ownership, to highlight the significance and efficacy of our data solutions. Your focus will be on elucidating the depth, accuracy, and actionable insights inherent in ComplyAdvantage's fincrime data offerings.

Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will develop comprehensive strategies to position ComplyAdvantage's data as indispensable resources for financial institutions seeking to enhance their KYC and third-party due diligence screening processes. Your efforts will drive awareness, adoption, and trust in our fincrime intelligence, ultimately empowering organisations to mitigate financial crime risks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, global data positioning strategy aligned with business objectives, product/market needs all aligned on our company’s vision. Work directly with Product leaders to understand their data outcomes and engage with sales and GTM leaders to bring our data story to life. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies that effectively showcase the value proposition of our data assets.
  • Regularly engage with industry analysts to seek insights and keep them informed of ComplyAdvantage's ongoing efforts to scale and enhance the quality of our data.
  • Respond to RFIs (Requests for Information) from industry analysts and contribute to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) from prospective clients, highlighting the unique advantages of our data solutions.
  • Periodically communicate data updates and initiatives internally, ensuring alignment across the organisation, and train customer-facing staff on effective positioning strategies for our data offerings.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape, analyse competitor activities, and distil intelligence to draw actionable insights, sharing findings internally in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain a high-quality set of customer-facing collateral that effectively packages our data offerings, highlighting their unique capabilities in addressing customer needs.
  • Continuously assess and refine marketing strategies based on market feedback, industry trends, and evolving regulatory requirements to ensure the ongoing relevance and competitiveness of our data solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and content marketing teams to develop world-class thought leadership content that showcases ComplyAdvantage's vision for future-proof risk intelligence.

Success in the First 3 Months

  • Established Understanding: Develop a comprehensive understanding of ComplyAdvantage's fincrime data offerings, including economic sanctions, watchlists, politically exposed persons (PEPs), adverse media, and ultimate business ownership.
  • Engagement with Stakeholders: Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including product management, sales, marketing, and content marketing teams, to collaborate effectively on packaging and positioning fincrime data solutions.
  • Competitive Landscape Analysis: Monitor and analyse the competitive landscape, distilling intelligence to draw actionable insights and sharing findings internally in a timely manner, enabling the organisation to stay ahead in the fincrime and financial crime prevention space.
  • Customer-Facing Collateral: Develop and maintain a high-quality set of customer-facing collateral that effectively packages ComplyAdvantage's fincrime data, highlighting its unique capabilities in addressing customer needs and differentiating it from competitors.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in fincrime data, including a thorough understanding of economic sanctions, watchlists, politically exposed persons (PEPs), adverse media, and ultimate business ownership, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record in product marketing, with a focus on packaging and positioning data solutions to meet the specific needs of financial institutions and fincrime requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to distil complex information into compelling value propositions and actionable insights for target audiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and engage with industry analysts, regulators, and prospective clients.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with industry analyst relations, including responding to RFIs (Requests for Information) and contributing to RFPs (Requests for Proposals), to effectively communicate the unique advantages of fincrime data offerings.
  • Background in monitoring and analysing the competitive landscape to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats, and translating insights into actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain high-quality customer-facing collateral that effectively communicates the value proposition of data solutions and highlights their unique capabilities in addressing customer needs.
  • Prior experience working with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and content marketing teams to develop thought leadership content that showcases the organization's vision and expertise in fincrime and financial crime prevention
