Your Career

As a Product Marketing Manager at Palo Alto Networks, you will play a key role in planning and executing the product marketing strategy for our next innovations in Data Security, focused on protecting data in the age of AI. You will work closely with marketing, product management, industry analysts, sales, customers and technology partners, to deeply understand our target audience, their key security issues and the competitive landscape. This knowledge will empower you to define our unique value proposition then drive messaging, content creation, thought leadership, sales enablement and competitive analysis for the product line that you are responsible for. 

Working closely with key stakeholders to develop and execute your strategy, your success will drive innovation and establish Palo Alto Networks as the clear leader in data security.

Your Impact

  • Establish the unique value proposition and messaging for your product line, with a clear understanding of the target markets and buyer personas
  • Author compelling, high-quality content, both at a business and a technical level, in a variety of formats including print, web, social media, and video
  • Launch products and collaborate with field teams to execute marketing campaigns to deliver on awareness and pipeline targets
  • Enable the sales and channel teams to understand, present and become subject matter experts in our data security services
  • Effectively work at building and executing plans that cross different functional groups, including product management, go to market, sales, and analyst relations
  • Represent the company in customer engagements and at events, to evangelize our point of view and be recognized as an expert in your industry

Your Experience 

  • 5+ years of technology product marketing, product management, or technical marketing experience
  • Experience in cybersecurity or with network security technologies (eg. Firewall, NGFW, IPS)
  • 2+ years in data security or ML/AI 
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Creative thinker able to develop and deliver engaging presentations in a range of environments, from large internal teams, to industry conferences and customer briefings
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, MBA preferred or equivalent military experience required

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $128,800/yr to $208,350/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here
