About the Role:
AngelList is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to grow our Marketing team and help build the foundational structure for a comprehensive marketing strategy aimed at generating repeatable pipeline, nurturing leads, and supporting our growing GTM team.
As we expand our product offerings and customer base, and create a new category within Private Markets, you’ll have the opportunity to craft the product positioning for AngelList’s core software offering for Funds and ensure our GTM teams are enabled to take this message to market across marketing campaigns, content, events, sales conversations, and other channels.
You’ll engage with a range of internal cross-functional partners, including Product, Growth Marketing, Brand Design, Sales, and Customer Success, while directly interacting with our diverse range of customers within the AngelList ecosystem, spanning emerging managers, established funds, LPs, and founders.
You will be one of the first hires on the marketing team, and we're looking for someone who will take initiative, learn our customer and product quickly and thoroughly, operate in ambiguity, bring a growth mindset to their work each day, and be excited to help build a revenue-generating marketing motion from the ground up. You will be reporting to our Brand & Marketing Lead.
You will:
- Develop new category definition alongside product positioning, messaging, and value propositions based on market research and customer insights.
- Develop a deep understanding of industry firm segmentation, along with buyer personas, and create tailored positioning for our products to effectively reach each persona. Create internal guides that outline these insights for company-wide use.
- Create and maintain marketing and sales collateral such as one pagers, sales decks, case studies, and product demos.
- Work closely with Product Leads, Sales, and Customer Success to conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to help inform our product roadmap and messaging.
- Partner with Growth Marketing and Content Leads to develop and execute the go-to-market strategies for new product launches, updates, and on-going customer education of our product offerings.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and customer needs to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
- Monitor and analyze key metrics such as product adoption, customer satisfaction, and engagement rate to measure marketing effectiveness.
You have:
- 5+ years with Product Marketing experience, preferably in the SaaS/technology or Venture Capital/Private Equity industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling content across channels (eg. marketing site, enablement material, decks, growth campaigns).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- A collaborative outlook and the ability to work effectively cross-functionally across teams, including product, sales, brand + product design, product, customer success, and more.
How success will be measured in this role:
- Creation of product positioning + ICP analysis
- Completion of sales playbooks and enablement
- Contribution to department OKRs
If you don’t tick every box above, we’d still encourage you to apply. We’re building a diverse team whose skills balance and complement one another.
